About Us

We're Midland's only not-for-profit Life Plan Community. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of life at every stage of life. It's been that way for more than half a century and we're not done yet. Today, our 83-acre community continues to evolve, innovate and create an environment where residents feel secure, respected and supported.

Manor Park is dedicated to providing a continuum of care for people age 62 and older to live life to the fullest with independence, security and choice.

Expanding and Evolving

Our History

1963

Midland Presbyterian Homes chartered as a 501(c)3 organization.

1970

Trinity Towers opens its doors as Midland's first retirement community on five acres at 2800 West Illinois Avenue.

1978

A second tower opens on the Illinois Avenue campus.

1982

Groundbreaking for Manor Park’s new campus in West Midland on 40 acres of land donated by The Jessie Wallace Estate.

1985

New campus opens including 100 independent living homes, 30 apartment homes and a 120-bed nursing home.

Late 1990s

Midland Presbyterian Homes becomes Manor Park, Inc.

2005

Helen Greathouse Manor (assisted living) and the Vogel Center (memory support assisted living) open. Assisted Living residents of Trinity Towers move to the new building.

2008

Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Center and Margaret Cowden Clubhouse open.

2014

Cowden Cottage and Scharbauer Cottage open. Each serve about 20 skilled nursing residents in a household environment.

2017

Groundbreaking for our newest independent living neighborhood of single-family homes on the south side of campus.

2019

From the Wallace Estate bequest, oil and gas production from nine wells begins to fund the Manor Park Foundation.

2023

Pevehouse Plaza gets a major makeover complete with magnificent greenhouse. Campus landscaping improvements include updated irrigation and native plants.
